Celebrating 80 Years of the Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley
Join us for our Backyard Birthday Barbecue on Sunday, August 17, from 12-3 PM
The Jewish Federation of St. Joseph Valley is turning 80 and the community is invited to celebrate in style at a Backyard Birthday Barbecue on August 17 from 12–3 PM.
Set against the backdrop of summer sunshine and community spirit, the event will feature live Motown and soul classics performed by Terry Austin & Soul Discovery, bringing rhythm and joy to the festivities. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs or blankets and settle in for an afternoon of music, food, and fun.
Kosher BBQ favorites, including hamburgers, hot dogs, grilled veggies, corn on the cob, salads, and more, will be prepared under SBK supervision, with a vegetarian option available upon request. Lawn games, field sports, and a bounce house will keep all ages entertained, while a special PJ Library craft adds a creative touch for the little ones.
Tickets are $18 for adults, $7 for children 12 and under, or $50 for families with three or more children. Be sure to register by August 14 at TheJewishFed.org/BBQ or call the Federation office at (574) 233-1164—prices increase at the door!
As we look back on 80 years of our Jewish Federation, we have so much to be proud of and many reasons to celebrate—our beautful campus & Simon Community Building of 25 years, the vibrancy of our Jewish community that boasts a diverse array of Jewish institutions from all walks of life, and, of course, the essential work of our Jewish Federation in providing space to meet one another across the divide and work together to strengthen our community—from advocacy to community relations, educational programs, volunteer efforts, and celebrations. We have never been prouder to be YOUR Jewish Federation.
Come celebrate 80 years of community, connection, and culture. We can’t wait to see you there!
